The popular television quiz show, Blockbusters, is making a grand return at online bingo site Mecca Bingo. Playtech developed the software for the online bingo giant to create a game which is sure to stir up nostalgic memories for fans of the popular UK quiz show.
The television show, Blockbusters, ran in its original format from the early 1980s to the early 1990s. Blockbusters at Mecca Bingo will be a unique offering, based on the concepts of the quiz show. Each bingo card will have twenty yellow hexagonal shapes with capital letters in the centre, which replace the traditional bingo numbers.
This kind of gaming card will be familiar to UK customers, but it might be all rather a new concept for some overseas bingo fans. Mecca Bingo players from the US will have some knowledge of the format as the Blockbusters television show originated in the US. Other versions were shown around the world.
